Robert E. Fales, 90, of Elkhart, died April 12, 2018 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Mr. Fales was born on January 20, 1928, in Elkhart, to Kenneth and Bernadette (Schenher)Fales.  He married Muriel Bienz on July 3, 1948.  She survives.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.  He worked as a pipefitter/plumber at Miles Labs for the next 47 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the D.A.V. Post #19, Elkhart Moose Lodge #599, and was baptized into the Catholic Faith.  Robert loved to golf, bowl, and enjoyed his winters in Florida.

Surviving are his wife, Muriel, Sons, Kenneth Fales (Marsha) and Rickey Fales, both of Elkhart, Daughter, Robin Tyler (Chester), Fishers, IN, 6 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his Granddaughter, Cammy Fales, and Brothers, Dale and Chuck Fales.

Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2018, from 4-7 PM, at Hartzler Gutermuth Inman Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, at the Funeral Home.  Father Jason Freyburger will officiate.  Entombment with full military honors will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
