Robert W. Nusbaum, 89, of Sparta, TN and formerly of Elkhart, died Thursday, October, 20 at his daughter's home.

Robert was born on August 9, 1927 in Three Rivers, MI to Wayne Woodford and Helen Marie (Slaughter) Nusbaum. On June 24, 1962, he married Naomi J. Phillips. She preceded him in death on April 27, 1985. He later married Dolores Bohman on February 20, 1993. She preceded him in death on August 22, 2015.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Debrah (John) Lukes, Sparta, TN; son, Steven Nusbaum, Elkhart; step-daughters, Jean (Ron) Manz, New Berlin, WI, Diane (Garry) Thompson, LaPorte, IN; and Lynn Jones, West Covina, CA; step-son, Mark (Diane) Serath, Sussex, WI; 17 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren, and brothers, Richard and Jerry Nusbaum, CA.

Robert proudly served in the Navy. He was a member of the Mishawaka Pilots Club.

Friends may call from 11 am until the 12 pm (Noon) memorial service, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
