Shirley Ann Jones, 85, of LaGrange and formerly of Elkhart, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Shirley was born on October 9, 1931, in Elkhart, to the late Cedric R. and Pansy (Stauffer) Schlotterback. On December 30, 1950, she married Earl W. Jones. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2013.

Shirley is survived by a daughter, Lisa Walb (Paul), LaGrange; a son, Michael Jones (Laura), Glendale, AZ; grandchildren, Crystal Kennedy (Luke), Chesterfield, IN, Eric Walb (Bailey), Lafayette, IN, Elizabeth Walb, Elkhart, Greg Jones (Deborah), FL, and Mallorie Jones, OH; great-grandchildren, Onnaka and Oakley Kennedy, both of Chesterfield, IN, Jackson Walb, Lafayette, IN, Hayden Jones, FL, and Payton Jones, OH.

Shirley was a graduate of Elkhart High School, class of 1949. She attended Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, LaGrange. Shirley was a homemaker.

She was a past member of the Sigma Phi Gamma, and Delta Theta Chi Sororities, the Married Women's Club, 4-Arts, and the Book Guild IV. Shirley was a Worthy Advisor with the Rainbow Girls.

Memorial services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.
