Sondra Jeane Ervin, 78, of Elkhart, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at East Lake Nursing and Rehab. Sondra was born on June 15, 1937 in Adel, Iowa to Ralph N. and Jeane C. (Belluchi) Smith. On March 18, 1956 she married Paul D. Huster in Goshen. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1981. She later married Ray Ervin on February 1, 1997. He survives. Sondra is survived by daughters, Colleen K. Winegardner (Randy), Orlando, FL, and Jeane E. Huster, Three Rivers, MI; step daughters, Sue Ann Mora (Scott Perry), and Sharon K. Camacho (Humberto), both of Elkhart; step son, Ray W. Ervin, Jr., Elkhart; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step son, Ronald Ervin. Sondra was a 1955 graduate of Goshen High School. She was a purchasing agent at Patrick Industries for 25 years before retiring in 2000. Sondra was a member of the Women of the Moose #73, where she was recorder and held all other offices. Friends may call from 2 pm until the time of the Women of the Moose memorial service at 5pm, Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, January 11, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Steven Steele of Kessington Community Church officiating. Burial will follow at Plum Grove Cemetery in Union, MI. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Mooseheart.
