Stanley Cross, 88, of Elkhart, died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at home. Stanley was born on June 5, 1928 in Port Huron, MI to Clyde and Christie (Cunningham) Cross. In 1988 he married Royann Cross in South Bend. She preceded him in death on May 22, 2016. Stanley is survived by a daughter Judy Cross, Bedford, IN; sons, David Cross (Loretta), Albany, OR, Robert Cross (Lori), Elkhart, Milton Cross (Judy), San Diego, CA; step-sons, Rob Nilsen (Elisa), Elkhart, John Nilsen, South Bend, and Michael Nilsen, Elkhart; grandchildren, Ava and Madeline Cross and Mallory and Cedar Petri. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn (Carlin) Cross, and his second wife, Donna (Kennedy) Cross, and a brother, David Cross. Stanley was the owned and operated Cross Painting and Decorating for 58 years. He was an Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America.
