Stasia M. Wider passed away at home January 31, 2022. She was born in Elkhart on June 6, 1921 to Thomas M. and Anna H. (Whitmer) Long of Elkhart.

Stasia married William E. Wider on August 2, 1941, who passed away in March of 2001. She was a loving mother to Steve E. of Elkhart and Mike T. (Julie) Wider of Bristol. She is also survived by four granddaughters, Christa Riendeau of Elkhart, Lisa (Greg) Foy of Avon, IN, Cindy (Jason) Miller of Hughesville, MD, and Jenny (Ryan) Batchelor of Glen Carbon, IL. She is survived by 17 great-grandchildren; Emily, Duddy, Nathan, Abby, Catelyn and Madison Foy; Jacob, Andrew and Joseph Miller; Grady, Ellison, Ridge, Hudson, Anders, Djoulieka, Caylor, Woudmica and Ireland Batchelor.

Stasia was a member of McCoy Memorial Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was a former member of the Married Women's Club and Past President's Club, both at the YMCA.

To honor her wishes, only a graveside service will be held at Rice Cemetery on Friday, February 4, 2022. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
