Obituary

Tad M. Rheinheimer, 65, of Elkhart died on Monday, July 20th, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Tad was born on December 21, 1954 in Elkhart to the late Carl and Sanita (Dascoli) Rheinheimer.

On October 7, 1989 in Elkhart he married Patricia A. Myers.  Patti died on May 4, 2004.

He is survived by his son, Michael A. Rheinheimer of Martinsville, IN and three brothers: Carl R. (June) Rheinheimer of Nappanee and David A. Rheinheimer and Chris J. (Shelly) both of Elkhart.

Tad was employed by Vincent Bach.  He was a graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed baking, flying kites, the beach at St. Augustine in Florida and sending CARE packages to his son and his son's co-workers in Martinsville.  Tad also thoroughly enjoyed riding his Vespa.

Visitation for Tad will be held on Thursday, July 23rd from 3 pm until 7 pm at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.  The Rev. Jason Freiburger will officiate and burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery in Elkhart.

Memorial contributions in memory of Tad may be made to the Jacksonville Art League Murray Hill Art Center 4327 Kerle St. Jacksonville, FL 32205.
