Treva P. Vaksvik, 98, of Elkhart, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

She was born May 5, 1920 to Carl and Augusta (Newman) Billings.

She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Treva graduated from Elkhart High School in 1938 and worked at C.T.S. before she married Adrian Vaksvik on March 3, 1946.  She was a wife, mother and homemaker for her family.

She was an active member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League, taught Sunday School for many years, and was a member of the Mr. & Mrs. Club.

She is survived by three children, Shirley Miller of Las Cruces, NM, Paul Vaksvik of Ventura, CA, and Eric (Denise) Vaksvik of Bristol, IN; and one brother, Carl (Dora) Billings of Mobile, AL.   She had 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; 2 brothers, Paul and Robert Billings, and a sister, Georgianna Degner.

Visitation will be at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 with services immediately following.
