Obituary

Winifred A. Krauser, 99, of Elkhart, died on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her daughters' home in Goshen.

Winifred was born August 8, 1921 in Niles, Michigan to the late James and Bessie (Sharpe) Brady. She married L.F. Edward Krauser on June 21, 1947 in Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years in 1998. Winifred is also preceded in death by two daughters, Bessie Mason and Kris Ball as well as three brothers and three sisters.

Winifred was a member of First Nazarene Church in Elkhart. She was also a past member of the Red Hat Society. Winifred enjoyed working at Elder-Beerman. She loved to watch old westerns in her free time as well as sewing, reading and of course shopping with her family. Winifred enjoyed playing all types of games, but she mostly enjoyed playing Euchre and Boggle. But most of all she enjoyed being around her family and cooking for them.

Surviving are two sons: Dan (Betty) Burner of Howe, IN and Michael Krauser of Elkhart; two daughters: Bonnie (Carl) Esch of Goshen and Kathy (Keith) Hartman of Blairsville, GA; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A public visitation for Winifred will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 1-2pm at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. In accordance with local health guidelines, it is required that everyone who enters the funeral home must wear a face mask and must practice social distancing. Only 25 people will be permitted to enter at a time during the visitation.
