Betty J Holdeman

Betty Jean Morgan Holdeman, 82, of Goshen, died on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Greenhouse Village of Goshen.

She was born September 3, 1936 in Elkhart to the late Raymond and Elsie (Risser) Morgan.  Also preceding her in death are a granddaughter, Elise Holdeman and her brother, Jimmy Dean Morgan.

On June 5, 1955 in Elkhart, she married her high school sweetheart, Roger D. Holdeman.  They were blessed with 63 years of marriage.  He survives along with three children: Deana (James) Sceniak of Goshen; Randall (Karen) Holdeman of Kettering, OH and Jean (Cheri) Holdeman of San Diego, CA.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Betty graduated from Elkhart High School in 1954.  She was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she was actively involved with LWML, the Christian Growth Committee and numerous Bible study classes.  Along with her husband Roger, they served the Lord by printing bulletin materials, the newsletters, program booklets and other printed material for the church.

Visitation for Betty will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkhart and burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
