Betty Y. Holt

Betty Y. Holt, 66, of Elkhart died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Woodland Manor in Elkhart.

She was born in Edwards, MS on July 5, 1952 to the late Leroy Hill and Estella Mack.  Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Mack and Johnny Ray Mack.  She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Bartiscia “Tish” (Rennard) Holmes of Elkhart and Satasha “Tasha” Barber of Rantoul, IL, brothers, Pink (Prinelle) Mack and Ricky Mack both of Elkhart, sisters, Fern (Joe) Palmer of Elkhart, Jacqueline (Thomas) Wilson of Jackson, MS and Ivory (Ricky) Christian of Edwards, MS and one grandchild, Jaylen Holmes.

Betty was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church in Elkhart.  She enjoyed cooking for everyone and even had her own restaurant briefly.  She loved bowling on leagues and participating in sports when she was in school.  Betty enjoyed being around people and always saw the good in them. She worked in production at Whitehall for 13 years and was also employed at The Care Center of Champaign and then Carle Hospital in Champaign, IL.

Services will be Monday, October 8, 2018 at Noon at Community Missionary Baptist Church 228 Chapman Ave., Elkhart, IN.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
