Cynthia I. Sigsbee

Cynthia Irene Sigsbee, 97, of Bristol, passed away on the morning of Friday, December 6, 2024, in Bristol.

She was born on June 23, 1927, in Logansport, IN to the late Henry and Katherine (Riley) Eltzroth.  Also preceding her in death are a daughter, Nelba Shook and her siblings, Art, Calvin, Riley, Ron, Carl, Nadine and Julia Mae.

On May 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to Paul Sigsbee, who preceded her in death in 2014.  She is survived by her three children: Donald (Laura) Sigsbee, Paula (Bill) Bainter and Anna (Richard) Rohr; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren with Henry on the way, and 24 great-great grandchildren, with another on the way.

Cynthia was the co-owner of Sigsbee’s Countryside Market alongside her husband.  She also worked for some time as a real estate agent.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew her.

A visitation for Cynthia will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Northside Baptist Church, with services to follow at noon.  Cynthia will be laid to rest next to Paul in Rice Cemetery.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Cynthia may be made to the Salvation Army 300 North Main Street Elkhart, IN 46516.
