Dayaavon D. Johnson

Dayaavon D. Johnson, 23, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 in Danville, IN.

He was born on May 7, 2002 in Elkhart to Cleveland Jones II and Michelle (Ronald) Coleman.

Dayaavon is survived by his parents, as well as siblings Da’mond, Aliyah, Keyonce, Alisha (Kobe), Aniya, Kaniyja, Forever, Cleveland III, and Sven; nieces Na’vayah and Xalea; nephew Darnell; maternal grandparents Henry and Mattie Spearmon; paternal Grandmother Karen Jones & Great grandmother Shirley Dorsey; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Dayaavon enjoyed rapping and playing video games. He loved being an uncle and adored his nieces and nephews. He was a fierce protector of his sisters and was a mama’s boy at heart. He would always say “on my mama” and he meant it – he had endless love for her.

A funeral service for Dayaavon will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 30 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist, 802 W Garfield Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516 with one hour of visitation prior. Following services, cremation will take place.
