Delores E Ort

Delores E. “Dee” Ort, 94, of Osceola, passed away at home on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.

Dee was born on July 25, 1929, in Elkhart, IN to the late Harold and Evelyn (Garberick) Schuster.

She worked for her father’s business, Schuster Scheet Metal, as a secretary for 50 years before retiring in 1997.

Surviving Dee is a daughter, Deb Smith of Osceola, along with numerous cousins.

Delores enjoyed playing cards and going out to lunch with friends and visiting with family friends Colin and Steve.  She was fortunate to have traveled to places such as Monte Carlo, England and other places with many of those same friends.  She also went on an Alaskan cruise with her daughter and other friends.  Dee enjoyed being outside working with her flowers and plants.  Being in the yard brought her much joy.  Also, Dee always had dogs as pets, usually Schnauzers, with her beloved Fritz being her favorite.

At this time, there will be no services.  Dee will be cremated and laid to rest with her parents in Rice Cemetery.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
