Donald R. Huff, 74, of Elkhart IN, passed away on January 22nd after a courageous battle with multiple health issues.
Donald was born on March 30th, 1945 to Paul and Theodora Huff in Elkhart, IN.
After graduating from Elkhart High School, Don continued his education in South Bend where he met Susan Kopczynski, and they married in 1968 while stationed at Grissom Air Force base while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Don faithfully served during the Vietnam conflict and came home to build a life centered around God, his family, and his country.
After a long career, Don retired and started his second career as Orkie the clown. Don enjoyed making people smile as Orkie as much as he loved Notre Dame football and JoJo’s Pretzels.
Don is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Susan Huff; his two brothers, Ted Huff and Roger Huff; his two children, Amy Huff and Brian Huff; and his beloved dachshund, Chloe Huff.
A visitation for Don will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2-5PM at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Friends may also call an hour prior to his service that begins at 11AM on January 27, 2020 at Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Dan Forehand will be officiating.
