She is survived by her husband of 69 years, three daughters: Vicky McFarland of Mishawaka, Michelle (Jeff) Kline of Elkhart and Sherry (Mark) Dixon of Elkhart; and a son Greg (Gen) Luebke of Rhinelander, WI; a sister Helen (Jim) Kauffman of Elkhart. Edith graduated from Elkhart High School in 1950. After high school she started working at CTS in Elkhart. Later in life she worked for ADEC, working in the cafeteria making meals from scratch. She also made and served food to the children at Woodland Elementary in Elkhart and then on to Elkhart Memorial High School where she retired. For many years Edith was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cassopolis, MI. Edith loved being outside in her garden and around her flowers and when she wasn’t outside, she was inside baking treats for her family and friends. She was especially known for her famous old fashion sugar cookies. Edith loved to sing and dance, and she knew how to have a good time. But more than anything she loved her family; she adored her grandchildren as much as they adored her.
