Eli Glazer, 92, of Elkhart, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, after a brief illness.
He was born on January 30, 1932, in Anderson, IN to the late Samuel and Dorothy (Siegal) Glazer. Also preceding him in death is a brother and sister-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Gilda Glazer.
Eli married June Weinberg on August 16, 1953, and enjoyed 67 wonderful years together. He was devoted to his family and is survived along with two daughters, Debbie (Jeffrey) Krasnow of Pittsburgh, PA and Pam Goldman of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Stacey Pecar, Stephen (Priscilla) Goldman, Daniel (Syd) Weinstein and Lainey Goldman and six great grandchildren, Evan, Addie and Logan Pecar, Levon and Cassius Weinstein, and Eli Goldman. He is also survived by his dog, Lily, who brought much joy to his life after the passing of his wife, June.
Eli worked as a financial advisor with Stiefel and enjoyed working to the very end. He was a graduate of Indiana University at Bloomington with a bachelor’s degree in business and finance. He was also a member of the men’s basketball team as a freshman and was the captain of the tennis team. A sports enthusiast, he took up golf later in life and truly enjoyed it.
A graveside service was held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery in Mishawaka. Rabbi Karen Companez from Temple Beth-El officiated. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
