Feroz Dubash Obituary

Feroz Rustomji Dubash, 84, of Elkhart, died at home on Monday, January 6, 2025, surrounded by family.

He was born on March 3rd, 1940, in Karachi, Pakistan to the late Rustomji H. and Perin (Sethna) Dubash.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Perviz Daroga and a grandson, Mitchell Dubash.

Feroz came to the United States in 1958 to attend the University of Illinois to study civil engineering.  While at the University of Illinois, he met another student, Mary Ann McCartan, who became his wife in 1963.  He successfully earned his bachelor’s degree and after graduation, took a job in Chicago, IL with Harza Engineering.  After several years at Harza, he decided to enter the University of Notre Dame to extend his student visa.  While at Notre Dame, he became employed by Riblet Products in Elkhart.  Following his employment at Riblet, he started his own business as a builder of commercial steel buildings.  His first business was Diamond Buildings. Following that, he started American Systems, Inc., which he owned for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, a sister, Yasmin Vania, a brother, Minoo Dubash, four children; Perin (Matthew) Daniels, Nina White, Cyrus (Danielle) Dubash and Rustom (Jude) Dubash: nine grandchildren; Joseph Dubash, Jenna Soto-Padro, Alexandra LeMasters, Natalie Daniels, Danielle White, Paul Daniels, Natalie White, John Dubash and Isaac Dubash, step-granddaughters, Laura Scott and Lysa Scott and great grandsons, Beau Dubash and Kevin LeMasters.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Feroz will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Logan Parrish of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
