Florence R Taylor-Riggs, 91, of Niles, Michigan passed from this life on July 23, 2013 after an extended illness in Silverbrook Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hartzler -Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where the Home-going Service will be held at 11:00 AM on July 30, 2013. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will follow the funeral at Rice Cemetery. Elder Phillip Jackson will officiate. Florence was born in Obion, Tennessee to Eva and Richard Bailey on August 28, 1921. She leaves to cherish her memory her only son DeVon [Vern] (Pastor Cecelia) Goodrich, Grandchildren; Pastor Dreama Coleman, Elder Phillip (Shirley) Jackson, DeVon Jr. (Kathleen) Goodrich, of Elkhart, Bradley Goodrich of California, Kim of South Bend, Indiana and Lamont Hansbourgh of Elkhart along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents: Eva and Richard Bailey, Hobart Riggs and her siblings: Ethel Audrey King, Howard Stewart, Shug Stewart, and Wesley Bailey all of Niles, Michigan; Georgia Thomas, Ruth Ivory and Luella Chavis of Elkhart, Indiana in addition to a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
