Frances M McKay

Frances Mae McKay, 97, of Edwardsburg, MI passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at West Woods of Niles in Niles, MI.

Frances was born December 3, 1921 in Bristol, IN to the late Daniel and Sara Anna (Mortimer) Beach.  She was also preceded in death by her five sisters and four brothers.

As Frances Mae Beach, she married Earl McKay Jr. on May 8, 1948.  Earl died on January 2, 1994.

Surviving are three daughters; Wanda (Gary) Cone of Sioux Falls, SD and Karen and Connie McKay, both of Decatur, AL; four sons: Earl (Susan) McKay of Union, MI, Dannie (Bridgette) McKay and Mark McKay, both of Elkhart and Rex (Tracy) McKay of Edwardsburg, MI.  Frances was blessed with eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Frances was a homemaker, which she truly enjoyed.  She was a great mother and friend who never knew a stranger.  She adored her family and will be missed but never forgotten.

There will be no services at this time as it was Frances’ wish to be cremated.  Private family burial will take place at a later date.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
