Gayle Annette Mason, 71, of Granger died Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Hearth of Juday Creek.
Gayle was released from her bondage of the disease of dementia. She is now reunited with her husband, parents, and sisters that have gone on before her. Gayle dedicated her life to being a caring wife, daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt. She can now rest in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior during this time as we celebrate His coming to us.
Gayle was born November 26, 1949 in Elkhart to the late Warren and Ivadelle (Shedore) Schmuhl.
Gayle graduated from Elkhart High School in 1968 and is a 1972 graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a dedicated nurse, working at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Elkhart General Hospital and River Point Surgery Center in Elkhart. She married T. Larry Mason on February 2, 1980. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2012.
With her wonderful, caring heart she loved rescuing dogs and spending time with family and friends. Traveling was also a big part of Gayle’s life. Gayle was a member at River Oaks Community Church in Goshen.
Left to cherish Gayle’s memory are her sister, Cynthia (Bill) Burger; two brother-in-laws, Terry McFall and Greg Carlson; seven nieces and nephews; and eight great nieces and nephews.
Gayle was also preceded in death by her sisters, Janet McFall and Kathy Carlson.
A private family service is scheduled.
