Gregory L. Mercer

Gregory L. Mercer, 78, of Elkhart, IN passed away Tuesday, January 20th, 2026.

He was born on October 11, 1947 in Elkhart to the late H. Wesley and Margaret E. Mercer. On September 24, 1977, he was united in marriage to Martha (Wallace) Mercer.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Martha, as well as two children, Mark (Kristen) Mercer and Laura Deluca; two grandchildren, Emmitt and Ajay Mercer; one brother, Karl (Barbara) Mercer, and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.

He worked at the railroad for 38 ½ years before his retirement. He was a devoted member of Beulah Missionary Church, where he was the head trustee for over 15 years.

Greg was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on March 21, 2026, at Beulah Missionary Church, 57595 Old County Rd 17, Goshen, IN 46528. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
