Jack E. Klingler, 91, of Elkhart, died at home on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Jack was born March 16, 1931 in Elkhart to the late Kenneth E. and Kathryn M. (Stocker) Klingler.

On January 29, 1956 in Elkhart, Jack married the former Shirley J. Coil.  Shirley died on January 22, 2020.

Surviving are two sons: James M. (Janice) Klingler and Jeffrey L. (Cheryl) Klingler, both of Elkhart; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was a 1949 graduate of Elkhart High School and attended Valparaiso Technical Institute.  After serving in the United States Army during the Korean War, Jack returned home and began what would be a forty-year career in the engineering laboratory at Bendix (Allied Signal).  He eventually retired in December of 1992.  After retirement he and his partner ran a business restoring and tuning pipe organs for over ten years.  Jack was also very fond of his huskies.

There will be no services at this time.  Jack will be laid to rest next to Shirley at Rice Cemetery at a later date.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
