Janet Sue (Surls) Shrock

Janet S. Shrock, 78, of Elkhart died on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at her home.

She was born December 14, 1942 in Elkhart to the late Robert and Ethel (King) Surls.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Bill Surls.

She is survived by her husband Fred Shrock of Elkhart, two daughters: Kim (Kevin) Foy of Elkhart and Cynthia (David) Bravard of Bristol; three stepchildren: Beth (Al) Witkowski, Gail (Jim) Davies and Scott Shrock. Also surviving Janet are her two sisters: Judy McMeekan and Betty (Jerry) Coker. As well as her 10 grandchildren.

Janet graduated from Elkhart High School. She worked for many years at Shrock Manufacturing Inc. as a corporate secretary. When she wasn’t working, she was out enjoying the game of golf. Janet was a member of the Bent Oaks Ladies Golf Association as well as the Estero Country Club Ladies Golf Association. Most of all she loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Janet.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
