Janet Wiggins Obituary

Janet S. Wiggins, 80, of Osceola, died on Monday, November 4, 2024, at The Haven by The Bend in South Bend.

She was born October 21, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA to the late John P. and Vera (Bond) DeFronzo.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Steve T. Wiggins, one sister, Carol Alva and two brothers, Theodore and Raymond DeFronzo.

Janet married Thomas D. Wiggins on October 27, 1962.  Thomas died on May 20, 1982.  She is survived by two daughters: Dawn Weyant (Dave) of Elkhart and Tracie Wiggins Miller (Jonathan) of Osceola; two grandchildren, Lindsay Scott and Kayara Hodges; four great grandchildren: Braidyn, William, Waylen and Tryp; one sister, Sherri Hughes and one brother, Joe DeFronzo Sr.  Janet is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Janet had been employed by Whitehall Laboratories as a production worker for many years.  She was also a former member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and was a current member of the Moose Lodge #599 in Elkhart.

Visitation for Janet will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 12:00 until 1:30 pm at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  A procession will then leave for a graveside service at Rice Cemetery where Janet will be laid to rest.
