Julie Anne Hayes

Julie Anne Hayes, 65, of Elkhart, died December 23, 2025, at her home in Elkhart, Indiana.

She was born March 30, 1960, in Ipswich, Suffolk, England to the late Dorman and Dianne (Harper) Hayes.

Miss Hayes is survived by her sister Lisa (Richard) Lebold, of Elkhart; nephews Eric (Miranda) and Gregory Lebold, great niece Emersyn Lebold and great nephew Tayden Lebold, aunt Jill (Patrick) Miller of England; and first cousins Jonathan, & Kathleen Miller and Terese & Fraser Spence of England. Also surviving are family Matt and Kathy Schmidt, and Jim Schmidt.

Julie was a 1978 graduate of Brethren Christian High School and 1982 graduate of Indiana University in South Bend. She was an accountant and worked at numerous places over the years including Century Fiberglass and most recently Lippert Components. She attended Sugar Grove Church and loved serving during Awanas. In her spare time, she enjoyed being with her family, shopping, watching ND’s women’s basketball or having a meal with friends, but she wouldn’t miss an event for her great niece and nephew.

Private family services will be held. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial gifts in Julie’s honor may be directed to the Concord Swim Fund at the Community Foundation of Elkhart County.
