June Kathryn Peat 85, of Hubbard Hill Estates died at 9:55 P.M. June 12, 2006 at Hubbard Hill. She was born February 25, 1921 in Angola, Indiana to Herman C. and Joyce Miller Kohl. She married William Peat June 14, 1942 in Angola, Indiana, he died in 1973. Surviving is one daughter Caryl J. Thomas Moon of Mishawaka, Indiana, four sons William M. Nancy Peat of Cary, NC; David K. Rita Peat; Jeffrey L. Diana Peat both of Elkhart; John R. Carolyn Peat of Goshen, IN; eleven grandchildren, one great granddaughter; sister Virginia R. Somerlott of Angola, IN. One sister Mary Jean Golden preceded in death. Mrs. Peat was a 1938 graduate of Angola High School, graduate of Tri State University in Angola and attended Indiana University, member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, Trinity United Methodist Church, Married Women?s Club, United Methodist Women, former member of the Rho Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority in Angola. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, relaxing at Lake James, traveling, reading and crossword puzzles. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday at Circle Hill Cemetery in Angola. Memorial contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church, Center for Hospice and Palliative Care or ALS.
