Kathleen A. "Kathi" Renz, 59, of South Bend, died on July 1, 2013 at Rivercrest Specialty Hospital in Mishawaka. Kathi was born Nov. 25, 1953 to Oscar and Marie (Pekariski) Renz in South Bend. They, along with a sister, Karen Renz, precede her in death. Kathi is survived by special friends and care givers, Jeff Maple, Beckie, Joan, and Joe Clawson, all of Elkhart and Greg Wulle, of South Bend. Kathi was a Ball State Graduate, and an avid Chicago Cubs Baseball fan. She was a 3rd Grade teacher for 26 years at Lincoln School. Kathi was a generous and caring person, who always worked hard. Per her request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Fri., July 5, 2013 at Highland Cemetery, in South Bend.
