Linda J. Lott Yoshizawa, 74, of Vandalia, died at Three Rivers Health in Three Rivers, MI.
She was born July 10, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to the late Floyd W. and Mildred A. (Carson) Lott.
In July of 1985, Linda married Jim B. Yoshizawa in North Olmstead, OH. He survives along with a daughter, Jennifer (Eddie) Weathers Yoshizawa of Knoxville, TN; a son, Michael Yoshizawa of Berea, OH and four grandchildren.
Linda moved from Ohio to Vandalia in 2005 and she and Jim made their home at Birch Lake. She was a graduate of Kent State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English. She then graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea where she received her masters in English. Linda taught English for several years in Ohio. She then began her career at McGraw-Hill where she worked as a free-lance editor of textbooks from 1989 until her retirement. She was an animal lover, first dogs and then cats. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, was an avid reader and a member of the Birch Lake Book Club. Linda truly loved “lake life”.
At Linda’s request, there will be no services at this time. Her body will be cremated. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
