Lois Torok

Lois Torok, 98, of Groveland, FL, formerly of Elkhart, IN, passed away the morning of Monday, March 24, 2025.

Lois was born on November 6, 1926 in Elkhart to the late Lloyd and Ethel VanPelt.

On January, 23, 1971, she was united in marriage to Lewis Torok. They spent 26 wonderful years together until his passing on August 14, 1997. Lois was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles VanPelt and Louis VanPelt; sisters, Gertrude Laymon, Magdalene Sprague, Margaret Strycker, Charlene Sekora, and Dorothy Swartzell; and grandson Steven Siebert.

Lois is survived by her children, George Siebert and Karen Savard; grandchildren, Jeffrey Siebert, Todd Piper and Kellie Piper-Kurtz; 6 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Lois worked as a bookkeeper for W.J. Lilly for many years until her retirement in 1977.

A visitation for Lois will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, 403 W Franklin Street, Elkhart, IN 46516. A graveside service will follow at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, IN, where she will be laid to rest.
