Maxcine was a homemaker, worked at Miles Lab for five years and was a self-employed professional seamstress in Elkhart for 30 years. She was a resident at Simonton Lake for over 50 years. Some people have beautiful voices, give Maxcine a piece of fabric, a thread and needle, or a piece of yarn and her hands could sing. We wish to thank all the wonderful staff at Greenleaf Health Campus, Sara and Joey Kelgren, and Jean Hunt, who gave her love and friendship.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 at 2 PM at Prairie Street Cemetery. The Reverend Keith McFarren will officiate. In lieu of flower’s donations in Maxcine’s name can be made to Faith Mission of Elkhart, 801 Benham Ave. Elkhart, IN 46516. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home in Elkhart.
