Michael A. Cosentino , 74 of Elkhart, Indiana died at 6:30 A.M. Monday at his residence. He was born June 12, 1936 in Aurora, Illinois to Anthony J. and Justine Gentry Cosentino. He married Dianne Farrell January 18, 1964 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, she survives. Also surviving are two sons Michael J. Inge Cosentino of Atlanta, Georgia; Thomas Cosentino of Prescott, AZ, two grandchildren Campbell and Monica Cosentino of Atlanta, Georgia, one sister Barbara Van Skike of Branson, MO, brother William Jean Maakestad of McComb, Il. Mr. Cosentino retired in 2002 as Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney, he still remained an active partner in the law firm of Cosentino & Christofeno in Elkhart. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, veteran of the U. S. Army, member and past president of Elkhart City Bar Association , Indiana State Bar Association, University of Wisconsin Alumni Association, Northern and Southern District Court, Retired Indiana Public Employees Association, Elcona Country Club and in 2003 received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from Governor O'Bannon.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 P.M. on Thursday at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where there will be a vigil service at 7:30 P.M.. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 A.M. at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with the Reverend Glen Korman officiating with burial in St. Vincents Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, Elkhart County Humane Society or Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
