Paulette M. (Vannini) Beggs

Paulette M. Beggs, 95, of Elkhart died Monday, March 9, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital. Paulette was born on July 1, 1924 in Marseille, France to Leopold Vannini and Margueritte (Catino) Vannini.

She married Harry Beggs on June 15, 1946 when he was stationed in Europe at the end of World War II. Harry died March 15, 2015. Paulette is heavenly reunited with her husband of 69 years.

She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, as well as, going to the casino and being with family. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Paulette is preceded in death by her husband and parents, as well as a brother, Marcel Vannini and a sister, Maurice Louise Vannini. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Beggs, Steve (Lori) Beggs, a daughter, Michele (Pat) Dascoli, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.

The family wants to extend their appreciation to her grandson David, friends, Bill, Marge, Dale, Deb, Vici, Patti, Jimmy, Jo, and the health care providers who took excellent care of Paulette.

Visitation for Paulette will be Friday, March 13, 2020 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home from 10am-12noon with a service following.  Officiating the service will be Pastor Spencer Mielke of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkhart. A graveside service will follow at Rice Cemetery.
