Robert Barry Jackson

R. Barry Jackson, 89, of Anderson, IN, formerly of Elkhart, died on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at home, surrounded by family.

Barry was born December 16, 1931 in Elkhart to the late Caleb F. and Lucile G. (Gibson) Jackson.  Also preceding him in death is a brother, Thomas C. Jackson.

On July 22, 1984 he married the former Sandra L. Juday in Elkhart.  She died on March 4, 2015.  Surviving are a daughter, Sarah C. (Willard) Troutman of Anderson and a son, Christopher C. (Kristin)  Jackson of Troy, NY; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two nieces, Amy (Jackson) Stolz of Elkhart and Julie A. Jackson of Killeen, TX.

Barry was a 1950 graduate of Elkhart High School and attended Indiana University for 2 ½ year.  He also served in the United States Navy from 1952 until 1956.  Barry worked in sales at Johns Manville for thirteen years and was a former co-owner of The Bumperjack.  He was also a member of the Goshen Moose as well as a member of SPEBSQSA, a barbershop quartet society.

There will be no services at this time.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
