Robert Campbell Forbes of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on Thurs., Sept. 5, 2013 after a long illness. He was born in New York City, NY in 1923; he was the son of the late Kenneth M. Forbes and Mary (Andrysek) Forbes. He graduated from Manhasset High School, Manhasset NY in 1940 and attended Nichols College and the Stern School at New York University where he received an undergraduate business degree as well as a Masters in Business Administration in 1952. He also served in the Unites States Army as a Technician Fourth Class, 22nd Medical Detachment from 1942 to 1946. He worked in various marketing positions over the years for A.C. Nielsen, Miles Laboratories (Bayer AG) and Schering Plough. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Madeline (Nelson) Forbes and his daughter, Pamela A. Forbes. He is survived by three children, Claire F. Herczeg of Vallejo, CA, Melissa F. Demos of Lakewood, CO, and Geoffrey R. Forbes of Evansville, IN; two grandchildren, Erica P. Herczeg and Alicia L. Herczeg of Los Angeles, CA and several nephews. Services will be held on Fri., Sept. 13, 2013 at 10:00 am at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home in Elkhart. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
