Robert Dean Wall, 77, of Bristol died Wednesday August 9, 2023 at his home in Bristol. Bob was born on October 8, 1945, in Goshen, Indiana to the late Richard Wall and Doris (Schrock) Williams. He married Kathleen Murphy on June 20, 1970 in Elkhart.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen and their two sons; Ryan (Jasmine) Wall of Goshen and Sean (Jennifer) Wall of Middlebury. Bob is also survived by his grandchildren: Taylor, Kaitlyn, Meghan and Ian. As well as his sister Rebecca (James) Waltz, step-sister Karlene (Tom) Christianson and step-brother Donald (Jean) Tavernier.
Bob graduated from Bristol High School in 1963 and attended Ball State University and Purdue University. Bob proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was very proud to be a veteran. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Elkhart for many years. For 20 years Bob worked and was co-owner of North American Forest Products.
Bob and Kathy enjoyed traveling the United States as well as going overseas. He enjoyed taking trips in their convertibles with their family and friends. They made lots of friends while involved in the Lake Dunes Miata Club for many years. Bob had a great love for golf. Especially playing with his many golf buddies and spending winters in Venice, Florida where he loved spending time with his loved ones.
Raising twin sons was so very special to him. As they grew up it was obvious, they got their sense of humor from their dad. All shared the gift of chatting and laughing. He was a great role model to his boys and his grandchildren. Bob’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved attending their events and activities. Bob was a loving husband to his wife of 53 years, he was generous, compassionate, supportive, caring and fun loving.
A visitation for Bob will be held from 12PM-3PM at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home in Elkhart on Thursday, August 17, 2023. A memorial service will follow at 3PM at the funeral home. Bob will be laid to rest at a later date in Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol.
