Sanita H. (Dascoli) Rheinheimer

Sanita H. Rheinheimer, 86, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born November 21, 1932 in Elkhart, to Angelo and Antoniette (Checchio) Dascoli. 

Sanita graduated from Elkhart High School in 1950.  She married Carl R. Rheinheimer, Jr. in 1953.  He preceded her in death in 1974.  Also preceding her are her Brothers, Joe and Tony Dascoli, Sister, Mary Jane Vaughn, her Daughter in Law, Patti Rheinheimer, and Nephew, Michael Vaughn.

She is survived by her Sons, Carl Rheinheimer, Nappanee, Tad Rheinheimer, David Rheinheimer, and Christopher Reinheimer (Shelly) all of Elkhart, her Grandsons, Michael, Nick & Matt Rheinheimer, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She worked at CTS from 1961 until her retirement in 1998.

Sanita was a member of St Thomas Catholic Church and The Rosary Society, CTS Quarter Century Club, UAW Local 941, and The Democratic Women’s Club.  She volunteered at the Salvation Army, United Way, and CAPS.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St Thomas Catholic Church with Father Jason Freiburger officiating.  Entombment will be in Rice Cemetery.  Visiting hours are from 4 – 7 PM, Thursday, May 23rd at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where the Holy Rosary will be recited at 4 pm.
