Scott E. Blosser

Scott E. Blosser, 66, of Elkhart, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Scott was born November 13, 1955 in Elkhart to Virgil E. and Carolyn F. (Eby) Blosser.  He was preceded in death by his father.

On October 1, 1976 in Elkhart, he married Karen L. Barfell.  She survives along with a daughter, Betsy (Tony) York of New Castle, IN; a son, Brooks (Laura) Blosser of Nappanee; four grandchildren: Ava, Ezra, Emmett and Opal Blosser; his mother, Carolyn Blosser of Jones, MI; a brother, Jeffery L. Blosser of Union, MI and his children, Chelsie K. Kirsits and Ethan J. Blosser.

Scott was self-employed, along with his father, as a painting contractor, owning and operating Blosser and Son Painting for many years. A 1974 graduate of Northwood High School, Scott was a member of the 4-H Guernsey Club, and an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his family by the pool and enjoying backyard barbeques.  Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Visitation for Scott will be held on Wednesday, December 29th from 1 pm until the hour of the memorial service at 3 PM at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  Rev. Dan Barfell and Dr. Sam Barfell, Scott’s brothers-in-law will officiate.
