Stephen Billey

Stephen Billey, 99, of Goshen, died at home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

He was born on May 18, 1926, in Fairchance, PA to the late George and Elizabeth (Feddick) Billey Sr.  Also preceding him in death are four sisters and four brothers.

Stephen married Pauline R. Jacobs on July 24, 1981.  Polly died on March 31, 2020.  He is survived by a stepdaughter, Pamela Tilley of Venice, FL; a stepson, Tim (Susan) Jacobs of Elkhart, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one sister, Vernie Henke of Indiana.

Stephen was employed for several years by the city of Elkhart as an inspector in the buildings and grounds department.  He then operated his own HVAC and plumbing business for many years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII.  Stephen also enjoyed fishing and history and was an avid reader. He was also a member of the American Legion and the D.A.V.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 11 am until 1 PM at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  A procession will leave for graveside services at the Chapel of Memories at Rice Cemetery where military honors will be rendered.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
