Steven Paul Peterson

Steven Paul Peterson, 70 years old, Elkhart, Indiana passed away the afternoon of Monday, November 25, 2024, in Elkhart.

Steve was born on November 13, 1954, in South Bend, Indiana to the late David and Gretta Peterson.  Steve was preceded in death by his brothers Phil and John Peterson.  He is survived by his sister, Amy (David) Reeb, his nephew Zane Reeb and his cousins Carolyn Crosby and Gary Crosby of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Steve was proud of his service with the United States Marine Corps.  He was passionate about history and politics. He truly loved his country. Steve was also an amateur artist.  He painted numerous scenes of and around the Michiana community. 

For several years, Steve was a faithful volunteer for Meals on Wheels, something he did with much devotion and pleasure. Steve was a loving and devoted son, especially to his mother who he cared for in her later years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
