Timothy Gail Tibbott, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 8th, 2014, at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Indiana. Tim lived in Elkhart, Indiana, with his wife, Julia. Tim was born on June 25, 1959 to Gail and Wanda (Miller) Tibbott of Sturgis, Michigan. He graduated from Sturgis High School in Sturgis, Michigan, in 1977, where he was active in basketball, baseball, and DeMolay. Tim graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan, in 1981. He pursued a career as an Electrical Engineering Executive for various companies including Sun Microsystems and Flextronics in California. His career took Tim around the world to several countries including China, India, and Mexico. Tim and Julia were married on December 6, 2013, in Goshen, Indiana. Tim is survived by his wife, Julia (Sirugo); sister Eileen Stanard-Lutz (Roger) of Crystal River, Florida; twin daughters Jennifer (James Bridges) of Evans, Georgia, and Jessica (fiancé Daniel Lang) of San Jose, California; daughter Stacey of La Jolla, California; step-son Christopher Manske of Mishawaka, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jack Bridges and Alexander Bridges of Evans, Georgia, and Elliana Passaretti of La Jolla, California; various nieces and nephews; and former wife and mother of his children, Jodie Bertsch Capp of California. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ron Stanard. Tim was a wonderful, loving, kind, and generous father, husband, brother, grandfather, uncle, and step-father who will be remembered for his sharp intellect and wit. He enriched the lives of all who knew him and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hartzler- Gutermuth- Inman Funeral Home at 403 W. Franklin St., Elkhart, Indiana, with the service being held immediately following visitation. Cremation will take place with interment at a later date.
