He was born June 7, 1962 in St. Lous, Missouri to Lt. Col. Earl and Esther (Craft) Evens. His father was in the Air Force so he grew up in Spain, Texas, Alabama, Belgium and New York He graduated from Tri-State (Trine) University in Angola. He was employed with Phifer Wire of Tuscaloosa, Alabama for almost 35 years.

In 1993 he married the former Brigitte Linden and lived in Granger, Indiana. They have one daughter, Erienne, who was born in Guatemala and settled in his heart forever.

He is survived by his wife and daughter of Granger and older brother Earl Evens, many cousins, and his Aunt Alice Evens of Oklahoma. Also his youth group kids “special son” Max Schroff and his “special nephews” Clark and Jojo Stutsman and other loved ones.

Will loved talking to people, playing games and attending functions with lots of people and good food. His very favorite activity was walking the beach, searching for shells and talking to others.
